In May 2013, the University Hospital of Nice and the Lenval Foundation considered the implementation of a Hospital-University project concerning pediatrics as a key condition of their agreement regarding the creation of the Woman-Mother-Child center.
It has now been achieved with the signing of this convention, which strengthens the coordination of strategies among the University Hospital of Nice, the Lenval Foundation, and the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, and validates the legitimacy of the Private Health Establishment of Collective Interest (ESPIC) “Pediatric Hospitals of Nice CHU-Lenval” to carry out the missions of hospital-university establishments: medical and dental education, postgraduate education, biomedical research, and paramedical education.
This signing session concludes the preparatory work conducted between the teams of the three establishments during the first half of 2014.
In application of this agreement, internships completed by interns in the services of the ESPIC Pediatric Hospitals of Nice are considered as being conducted in the University Hospital.
Furthermore, the ESPIC places particular emphasis on the development of its research activities, under the guidance of its hospital-university staff and in partnership with the University Hospital of Nice.
