Christian Estrosi unveiled yesterday afternoon the UEFA Euro 2016 sculpture in front of the Allianz Riviera before the match in which the French team won 4-0 against Armenia.
The mayor was accompanied by Noël Le Graët, President of the French Football Federation, and Daniel Bravo, ambassador of the City of Nice for Euro 2016 for the occasion.
Gifted to all host cities of Euro 2016 in France next June, the sculpture has created a stir in some towns. Notably in Toulouse, where, installed in the city center, its bulky nature sparked reactions on social media.
In Nice, this 3D-modeled logo was installed in front of the stadium to perfectly match the sporty atmosphere of the location. For taking selfies and other photos before the grand kick-off of the Euro, the sculpture is even an ideal spot.
As a reminder, the Allianz Riviera will host four matches of the competition.
