Interdisciplinary and dedicated to the exchange of practices, experiences, and knowledge on urban security and the prevention of delinquency in Europe and worldwide, the “Security, Democracy, and Cities” conference by Efus is aimed at all actors involved in urban security: elected officials, local administrators, magistrates, security professionals, social workers, researchers, and civil society actors.
A key moment in the life of the network, the conference notably allows for the development of the new “Security, Democracy & Cities” Manifesto of Efus.
Efus is the only European network of local and regional authorities dedicated to urban security. It brings together around 250 members—cities, local communities, associated institutions, and various partners—who share a common commitment: working on a pan-European scale on the issues of crime prevention and urban security. Sixteen countries are represented in the network.
