On the occasion of the awareness campaign for World Heart Day.
The employees of the European Society of Cardiology are mobilizing to convey a message: “One World, One Home, One Heart,” the slogan for World Heart Day 2011.
Cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death worldwide, are responsible for 29% of deaths each year.
Today, it is urgent to communicate about the prevention of these cardiovascular diseases. This prevention begins at home, by taking simple and quick measures to care for one’s heart health.
Furthermore, there are certain signs and simple actions to know that can help better manage a heart attack or stroke.
This is the message highlighted by the World Heart Federation for World Heart Day, which takes place this year on September 29, 2011.
