After a week of public voting and the judgment of a high-profile jury, the winners of the plastic art contest at the European Masters Games Nice 2015 will be rewarded like real game athletes, with gold, silver, and bronze medals at stake.
The City of Nice and the Department of National Education Services of Alpes-Maritimes (DSDEN) encouraged young athletes from Nice schools to participate in a large Plastic Art contest aimed at imagining and creating their mascot for the European Masters Games Nice 2015.
Painting or sculpture, all means are allowed!
Their creations, collective or individual, were exhibited within the EMG Village under the “European Masters Arts” tent.
A jury composed of Lauriano Azinheirinha, Deputy Mayor; Laurence Navalesi-Schoenhage, Municipal Councillor for private schools; Robert Cherbetdjian, Emmanuel Souraud and Renรฉ Orazem from the educational community; Cรฉline Cristini, Director of Education for the City of Nice; and Isabelle Lovreglio, National Education Advisor in Visual Arts, along with a panel of village visitors, selected the winners in the following categories:
- Collective works
- Individual works
- and Public’s Choice Award
