The organizers of public festive events from the region will share their experiences and engage with students in event communication during a conference organized this Friday, November 30, at the IUT on the Sophia Antipolis campus.
LOCAL FESTIVITIES REPRESENTED
Monumental fruity sculptures, roasted chestnut tasting, a flower battle, or a culinary contest: behind these renowned activities are men and women who have made festivities their profession. The conference will gather the organizers of the emblematic popular festivals from four cities in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
Mrs. รvelyne Gasse, director of the Menton tourism office, will speak about the Lemon Festival. The Chestnut Festival of Cagnes-sur-Mer will be represented by Mrs. Kreinc, head of events at the tourism office. The director of events for the City of Grasse, Miss Sandrine Bourdier, will outline the Jasmine Festival. As for Mrs. Giselle Lhotte, communication and press officer for the City of Mougins, she will discuss the รtoiles de Mougins festival.
A single territory, diverse events: a conference that foreshadows a cross-debate and an interesting sharing of experiences.
EVENTS AT THE HEART OF THE EXCHANGE
In what way do these local popular festivals follow an event logic in terms of their organization and communication?
This question will be the guiding thread of the conference, which will shed light on the backstage of the preparation of these large public festive events. The challenges posed by a large audience, the communication strategies adopted, the search for innovation, the factors of attractiveness, and audience retention: these are the themes on which the speakers will be invited to express themselves. They will thus be able to share their expertise, offer advice to the students, and answer their questions.
