This week, Nice is hosting the traveling exhibition “Colors for Peace” organized by the association “I Colori per la Pace,” which supports the Sant’Anna Peace National Park in Italy, founded in 2000 in memory of the 560 victims of the massacre on August 12, 1944, in SantโAnna di Stazzema, Tuscany.
The aim of this exhibition is to collect and convey messages of peace from children worldwide. Drawing is a universal language and a favored means of expression for the youngest, so the association reached out to schools globally to have their students draw messages of peace.
In less than a year, the association received more than 4,000 drawings from 200 schools across 80 countries, representing all five continents. Some of these drawings, previously displayed in various countries (Italy, Romania, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Ukraine…) as well as during the G7 meeting in 2017, have now arrived in Nice to be shown at the Raoul Mille municipal library.
With this exhibition, the association “I Colori per la Pace” aims to pay tribute to the victims of the July 14, 2016, attack and bring a message of peace and hope to Nice and its residents.
