Until 12 September at Parc Phoenix.
Set designer Giovanna Rombaldi, in collaboration with Cristiana Trombatore and Marta Selvaggio, has gathered and staged around twenty works, paintings, and sculptures by Italian artists from the art and architecture collective “The Double Face Art & Arch.” such as Ilene Alciati, Chiara Bianco, Luigi Farina, and Alma Zoppegni.
The chosen theme is that of Metamorphosis, which is addressed in Kafka’s novella.
These works are part of a conversation about the close relationship of dependence and conflict between Man and nature. The animal and plant world from which Man descends and reflects is forcing him to undergo transformations. These transformations, which occur inexorably and imperceptibly, are sources of conflict with the individual’s inner “self.”
