Vincent Munier

A fervent advocate of environmental causes, an extreme traveler, and a lover of vast wildernesses, he is one of the greatest wildlife photographers of his generation. Thus, for over 20 years, he has traveled through the wildest landscapes to bring back incredible images in which the animal is at the heart of the environment.

His photographs are exhibited and shown in museums and art galleries in France and Switzerland. Moreover, he is the author of about a dozen books and founded Kobalann publishing in 2010, now also dedicated to film production.

An immersion into the heart of these remote regions

With ยซย The 3 Polesย ยป, Vincent Munier lets us discover the most fascinating animals of the Arctic, Antarctic, and Tibet, through about fifty photographs taken during committed expeditions, solo and self-sufficient. A gripping immersion into the heart of these remote regions with extreme conditions.

He transports us into the enchanting white of the Arctic and Antarctic, following the trail of mythical animals like the Arctic wolf, the polar bear, the musk ox, or the emperor penguin.

Then, on his last journey which took him to the high plateaus of Tibet, which he calls โ€œthe third pole,โ€ the photographer went in search of the famous and very rare snow leopard. The explorer also encountered numerous other animals on his path, including the Tibetan fox, the Pallasโ€™s cat, and herds of wild yaks and kiang asses.
