Facing a territory – Nice-north – already weakened in its community life and in a “critical” situation since the events of July 14, 2016, an original approach is being implemented by the association GALICE* to provide youth, who are in a state of idleness and lack guidance, with spaces for both structured and structuring exchange.
The goal: to engage young people in a civic initiative by highlighting psychosocial skills and supporting the development of independence (public speaking in groups, research/documentation/interview approaches, progressive goal-setting methodology, …).
Since the start of the 2016 school year, about fifteen middle school students have been supported by a facilitator tasked with guiding them to develop a reflection on secularism.
The exhibition “The Righteous in 2017” traces the work of young adolescents from the Nice-north neighborhoods in response to the duty to remember, which fosters a certain approach to secularism.
There, you will find their vision of the righteous today: testimonies, encounters, anecdotes depicted through street art works.
