The Leisure Activity Centers (CAL), totaling 15, are municipal proximity facilities. The inhabitants of Nice can engage in sports, discover and practice cultural activities, attend shows, visit exhibitions, relax, have fun, and rejuvenate alone or with family.
A rich cultural program is offered within the centers throughout the year, at very attractive rates, to the youngest, with storytelling shows and theater pieces, as well as to the older ones with exhibitions of local artists, performances, and also theater…

“Self-taught, I started painting over 25 years ago. First oil painting (Impressionism, my favorite Monet), then Matisse (the cut-outs), and over the years I turned to mixed techniques. I have sometimes gone long periods without painting, but the desire to paint was always somewhere in my head. Sometimes inspiration no longer came. Events in my life… A meeting with an artist with whom I took a few lessons gave me confidence and the desire to want… To start… A trip to the United States in 2010 and voilà… The trigger came naturally, and confidence gradually returned… Painting for me is a means of escape, expression, sharing…”
