From October 3 to 5, the world’s best sailors are preparing to return to the Nice coastline for the penultimate Act of the 2014 season, which promises once again to offer a no-holds-barred showdown.
This Act will be an opportunity for the French team, Groupama sailing team, to sail at home and shine in front of their audience.
For the fourth consecutive year, the fleet will return to Nice in the Baie des Anges, which in previous editions has been the scene of some of the most intense races ever seen on the circuit.
The Race Village, set up on Quai des États-Unis, will welcome several thousand spectators throughout the weekend, who can support the world-class sailors competing just a few meters from the shore.
The Extreme 40 races are held on a “Stadium Sailing” course, just a few meters from the coast with free access to the stands.
6 to 8 races will be held each day. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, the 5th, at 6 PM at the Race Village.
