Since 2017, artists have been able to showcase their creativity on panels on the exterior facades of the Puces de Nice.
This project is part of an ambitious policy in favor of art in public spaces, as well as a desire to promote artists.
From April 4 to June 1, it is the turn of the work of artist Catherine Caroff.
Born in Saint-Malo, after completing higher studies in Graphic Arts in Paris, Catherine Caroff worked for a few years in advertising agencies in Paris and Marseille, then settled in Nice as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. Her desire to explore new modes of expression led her to painting, creating murals and decorations, illustrating children’s books, teaching, and even television and theater. Very mobile, she draws her inspiration from travels. Her characters explore magical universes and reinvent a poetic world on the edge of imagination.
Catherine Caroff has created a little character, Ma petite Niรงoise by Cat Caroff, a trademark registered at the INPI. With its typical small costume, this character combines traditional aspects with the modernity of the current world.
