Organized by the National Education and the city of Nice for 12 years, as part of the ECLAIR program of Ariane (Program for Schools, Colleges, and High Schools for Ambition, Innovation, and Success), the festival “L’Ariane Sait Tout” (formerly “From School to Theater Festival”) has allowed this year more than 500 children and young people from the schools in the Ariane neighborhood (from kindergarten to the fifth grade) to get introduced to theater. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Lino Ventura Theater – boulevard de l’Ariane – Nice.
Throughout the year, with the help of teachers and entertainment professionals, the students imagined, wrote, and meticulously developed various written, audio, and visual productions on the theme of travel.
In May, they took over the stage of the Lino Ventura Theater and rehearsed their shows, adding the final touches.
From May 31 to June 9, 2012, their works will be performed, interpreted, and sung in front of an attentive audience: families, friends, teachers, political figures, and members of the National Education, as well as their peers.
Four performances will be given*, and more than 2,500 spectators are expected!
The goal of this educational project: to prove to children and young people from ALL neighborhoods that artistic creation, knowledge, and success are accessible to them, in Ariane as elsewhere.
