In Nice, the Festin des Mai is an integral part of this tradition, and on Tuesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 23, in the gardens of the Arènes de Cimiez, under the olive trees, more than 5,000 children from 108 classes in Nice will have an appointment.
Invited by the municipality and accompanied by the Central Office for School Cooperation and the Academic Inspectorate, they will be able to discover the Niçoise heritage through a cultural rally and participate in traditional games (piñata, sack races…).
Numerous shows and choirs are planned by the classes and Niçois schoolchildren throughout the day.
