A festival, one day …
– July 23 at the Church at 11:30 am and at the Place d’Armes at 6:30 pm
The 3rd edition of the Granges du Lac festival is organized, in collaboration, by the association l’Eventail and the Cello Fan festival, whose artistic director is the cellist Frédéric Audibert.
The idea comes from Jacques Rancurel, who spares no energy to bring Peira Cava to life.
The meeting between Frédéric Audibert and Jacques Rancurel was facilitated by Claude Reva, a singer and composer, who unfortunately passed away in 2003, and to whom the 2011 Cello Fan festival paid tribute.
From this meeting, the first Granges du Lac festival was born, with cellist Frédéric Audibert, who braved the first stage (since there was no stage, the festival began with whatever resources were available and a lot of willpower) in front of a good hundred people, which was, all in all, encouraging.
Thus, here is a 3rd edition.
This edition offers a concert with the Cello Fan ensemble in sextet form, featuring a program of Mozart, Vivaldi, Grieg…., alternating between original pieces and transcriptions.
The concert is followed by a picnic with the musicians and the organizers.
In the late afternoon, as the heat subsides, the Cant’in Celli show, featuring Corsican songs and polyphonic chants, perfects a splendid day spent in the vast green circus where Peira Cava reigns.
CANT’IN CELLI
Three magnificent Corsican voices
Accompanied by a high-end ensemble of six cellos
A creation from the Moïta Cello Meetings with which
The Cello Fan festival is twinned
The beauty of Corsican voices, the expressive power of the cello
Sébastien Tramoni, Michel Paoli, and Antonio Segondi take turns interpreting the most beautiful Corsican songs and polyphonies.
Splendid timbres accompanied by a cello orchestra composed of soloists from national and regional orchestras, as well as professors from national conservatories, all soloists in their own right.
These “Voce di Corsica” sing the beauty of Corsican lands and their culture. A succession of serenades interrupted by traditional Corsican polyphonic songs.
The Cant’in Celli show was conceived by Paul-Antoine de Rocca Serra and created in 2006 at the Moïta Cello Meetings.
It has been performed several times in Corsica, notably at the Calvi Polyphonic Meetings.
On the continent, it enjoyed great success at the Cello Fan festival in Callian, a partner festival of the Moïta Cello Meetings.
The arrangements are by composer and percussionist Jean-Michel Giannelli.
It is presented to you in a version accompanied by six cellos but can also be performed with eight cellos and more.
A concert full of charm, made to enchant and captivate hearts!
