For its 18th edition, the “Les Folies des Lacs” festival once again promises to be one of the must-attend events of the summer. Set around the Colmiane Lake, in the high region of Nice amid the splendid landscapes of the Mercantour, this musical gathering serves as the cultural and sound crossroads for music lovers.
Whether they are vacationers or residents of the Alpes-Maritimes, music enthusiasts can come to enjoy classical music, jazz, blues, or other world music.
Year after year, these “Folies des Lacs” attract an ever-increasing number of spectators.
An eclectic program for two exceptional venues
Starting at 1:30 PM around Colmiane Lake, DJ M4T, an electronic music artist, will perform his mix of Deep House, Funk, and New Jack. Then, the Latin music comes alive with the nine musicians of Mazamorra Vรฉsubiรฉ Social Club, offering a fusion between the traditional music of the Vรฉsubie Valley and the County of Nice with Brazilian and Argentine songs, for an exceptional concert.
Finally, the French group Gold will perform its greatest hits that have been making people dance for 50 years. To conclude the day, the polyphonic music from the Southern Alps will close the program with the Corou de Berra choir at the Sainte-Croix Church (at 7 PM).
