The Young Europeans are heading out to meet citizens across France and, for the first time, are organizing a European Youth Village in Nice, which will be held at Place Gautier, near Cours Saleya, this Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On May 25, 2014, citizens will be called to the polls to choose their European deputies.
Noting that Europe still appears technocratic in the eyes of citizens, particularly the youth, the Young Europeans have decided to set up “European Youth Villages.” The objective is to raise awareness about the European elections, attract a diverse audience that is not very engaged in political life, especially the youth, and inform them about the stakes of the European elections, with a clear message: On May 25, I vote!
Under the High patronage of the European Parliament, the villages will bring together various associations around fun, cultural, and participative activities: European trees, wall of clichés, drawing contests, European puzzle, European speed dating, theatrical improvisations, vox pops, debates. In this festive atmosphere, The Young Europeans and participating associations will truly build the Europe of citizens.
In parallel, all afternoon, a language café will take place at Häagen-Dazs on Place Magenta with Erasmus students and ESN Nice.
