Mr. Fernand BLANCHI, Mayor of Valdeblore, welcomed a vibrant episode of the music festival on Saturday, June 23rd, in his municipality. It was more convivial than those taking place along the coast.
The hostesses had no more seats available in the church where the Chลurs de LA VALDEBLOURENCO performed under the direction of Jean Monti, accompanied by the Chลurs de la Vallรฉe de la Tinรฉe under the direction of Bernard Joubert. They enchanted the audience for several hours continuously, without a single second of respite from acoustic pleasure.
It was a sincere delight to listen to these singers with their gentle melodies, but also Negro Spirituals, paying tribute to deceased poets like Charles Trenet, Claude Nougaro, Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Gilbert Becaud, as well as Yves Duteil, Charles Aznavour, Julien Clerc. The entire assembly tuned in, accompanying the choirs with their voices. It was nothing short of pure wonder, the very essence of the Music Festival.
In the meadow in front of the church, refreshments with “pan bagnat” were offered to everyone, and there too, the attendees sang along with the choirs and most importantly, made plans to meet again next year.
