Countdown to the launch of the 2019 Fête de la Musique in Nice. The co-hosts, Garou and Laury Thillemann, in the presence of Christian Estrosi and the producers of France Télévisions, gave a preview of France’s most beloved cultural event. We’re telling you everything!
“Music, music, and more music!” proudly announces Philippe Vilamitjana, producer and organizer of France’s most lively cultural event. Nice becomes the capital of music during four hours of show. In total, 39 artists have confirmed their presence to set the Nice dancefloor on fire. 84 songs and more than 30,000 people are expected to listen.
Produced by France Télévisions Studios, the 2019 edition is broadcast live on France 2 starting at 8:50 PM. An event presented by Garou, a pillar of French chanson, accompanied by the dazzling Laury Thillemann, a former Miss and newly television host.
Christian Estrosi emphasized his joy at the significance such an event holds for Nice while the locals express their annoyance at the Place Masséna being split in two. “I thank France Télévisions for choosing Nice for this 2019 Fête de la Musique, which is a tremendous opportunity for local dynamism with the involvement of locals in the show. It is with genuine intent that we aim to make the Fête de la Musique a popular celebration accessible to everyone, not only on Place Masséna but throughout the entire city.”
