Crowned as the capital of the Perfume Rose in 1907, with a production of 600 tons of petals, La Colle-sur-Loup, each year with the return of spring, celebrates its favorite flower “the centifolia,” which was cultivated in the commune in the 19th century.
Thus, throughout the day, at the heart of the decorated and flowered village, set against a backdrop of jazz and folk music, the rose is omnipresent. A flower-decked bicycle competition organized by the Festival Committee, period re-enactments in the former cooperative, creative workshops for children around the rose, creation of perfume cream, a little gardener workshop, discovery of aromatic plants and Provencal scents.
