From March 21 to 30, 2025, the 3rd edition of the Fiesta del Cine Festival will be held in Nice. An event focused on South American cinematic art.
This festival, based on Latino culture, will offer numerous local films at the Variรฉtรฉs and Rialto cinemas in Nice. Musical, culinary, and dance workshops will accompany this excursion.
A Varied Program
This festival is made possible thanks to Eric Belhassen, director of the production company Bocca a Bocca Filmes, and Katia Millan, director of the La Fiesta association. Several South American films are selected by them and screened at the two cinemas. The opening will take place at the Rialto cinema with the screening of the Colombian film ” La Suprema“, directed by Felipe Holguรญn, who will be present at the end to engage with the audience. On Tuesday, March 25 at 8 PM, the Rialto will present a magnificent film starring Bรฉrรฉnice Bejo as the lead actress. Directed by Cรฉsar Diaz, this drama deals with the difficult choice of an activist mother who must choose between raising her son or continuing her activist fight. The director will also be present to answer questions.
The Variรฉtรฉs cinema will close this festival. In the presence of actress Soundos Mosbah and director Alonso Ruizpalacios (remotely), the film ” La Cocina” will conclude this cultural immersion. Seven countries from the South American continent will be highlighted: Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, and Guatemala. This event is not only a film festival; it is an artistic journey offering numerous workshops ranging from gastronomy to traditional music and Latin dance.
Activities of All Kinds
It’s an immersive experience that takes the audience to the other side of the world. La Fiesta del Cine will allow discovering Latin-American culture through numerous workshops.
