Unis-Cité, the pioneering association of Civic Service in France, is organizing a “disco salad” event in collaboration with the association Le Smart-Up Hub to combat food waste.
“Disco Soup/Salad” events are collective sessions open to everyone, where participants peel surplus, unsold, or second-rate fruits and vegetables in a musical and festive atmosphere!
Under the guidance of young people from Unis-Cité’s civic service, participants will prepare salads and fruit juices and distribute them for free.
During the event, members of Unis-Cité will take advantage of the opportunity to advocate for this cause by demonstrating the quality of fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away, and by showing, through example, how to take concrete action every day from home.
