After a year of strict lockdown and a sudden halt of filming in France, the Alpes-Maritimes Côte d’Azur Film Commission* provides a favorable assessment of the 2020 activity of the sector, which was able to rebound and react positively despite the pandemic.

In 2020, despite the unfavorable health context, 264 French and international shoots took place on the Côte d’Azur, accounting for 879 filming days (compared to 1200 days in 2019).

The Alpes-Maritimes Côte d’Azur Film Commission, whose geographical competence extends across the entire department, is a true partner for all cinematographic, audiovisual, and advertising projects.

Indeed, under the impetus of David Lisnard, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Côte d’Azur Film Commission France, and the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, with the support of all the member cities, a proactive approach was initiated targeting the rural communities of the high and middle country. The new memberships thus strengthen the fine and operational network of the Film Commission and the consistency of the territorial promotion actions carried out in favor of productions.
