As part of “Seniors in Action,” the Department of Alpes-Maritimes offers a wide range of cultural, sports, and recreational activities that are free or affordably priced.
In 2015, a major belote contest, including both classic and contrée variations, was launched throughout the department. Following its success, a third edition has been organized this year.
Seniors over the age of 55 from Alpes-Maritimes were able to register for the selection events for either the classic belote contest or the contrée belote contest, individually or in teams, through the Department and Seniors Houses.
Sixteen elimination days were organized throughout the Department to determine and qualify the teams that will compete in the grand departmental final, which will be held at the Departmental Administrative Center in the presence of over 200 seniors (a total of 103 teams).
