A prestigious setting, talented players, esteemed personalities, and celebrities… the 2013 Masters of Pétanque final promises to be a major popular event.

The world’s best pétanque players are scheduled to meet on September 5th and 6th to write the closing chapter of the 2013 Masters of Pétanque summer tour.

For the first time, the Place du Palais will host an international pétanque competition, combining the symbolic nature of the location with the popular appeal of this magnificent sport.

Mr. Costa, President of the Monégasque Boules Federation, wished to offer “two days of festivities around pétanque for all Monégasques and pétanque enthusiasts.”

Thursday, September 5th – Peace and Sport Pro / AM. Monégasque personalities, international celebrities, and the sixteen players qualified for the Masters of Pétanque Final Four will gather to compete in a pétanque tournament under the theme of peace and sport. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will participate.

Friday, September 6th – Final Four of the 2013 Masters of Pétanque. The four best teams of the summer will take center stage in the Carré d’Honneur and compete for the title of Winner of the 2013 Masters of Pétanque.

This event is also an opportunity to once again demonstrate the Monégasque commitment to meaningful charitable works. “In the Monégasque tradition of associating a charitable dimension with a sports event, it seemed evident to me that Peace and Sport should be a partner in the Masters of Pétanque final,” says Marc Costa.

Numerous activities will punctuate these two spectacular days. The Prince’s Carabinieri Company Band will notably be featured.
