On May 27 and 28, the Allianz Riviera in Nice will host the national finals of the Championโ€™s Cup Rekupo, the largest amateur football competition for young people in France. The event is free and open to all spectators.

Over two days, 336 young players, both male and female, from all over France will take to the pitch at the Allianz Riviera. This 15th edition of the Championโ€™s Cup Rekupo brings together 32 finalist clubs in the U9, U11, and U13 women’s categories, following an eight-stage regional journey. The event promises to be intense with nearly 80 matches scheduled.

On Tuesday, May 27, the U9 matches will take place from 10 AM to 2:45 PM. On the same day, the U13 women’s matches will be played from 11:40 AM to 4 PM. Wednesday, May 28 will be dedicated to the U11 matches, with a sequence of games from 9 AM to 4 PM. Spectators are invited to come and cheer on the young talents from the stadium stands free of charge.

Among the teams participating are several professional clubs: OGC Nice, Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille, Rennes, Toulouse, Montpellier, and Juventus Turin. These clubs will compete in the U11 category, which has been emblematic of the tournament since its inception in 2010.

A sporting event, but also educational

Created by Jean-Christophe Marquet, a former professional player, the Championโ€™s Cup Rekupo also stands out for its educational approach. An eco-friendly village, set up in the presidential lounges of the stadium, will offer activities to raise awareness among children and adults about chemical waste sorting. This village is open to all visitors during the two days.

โ€œThe goal is to leave a positive impact, both on the environment and on young minds, by encouraging them to become agents of change,โ€ explains the organizing team in a statement.

For this edition, an important new feature has been introduced: the registration fees for teams and the supply of equipment are fully covered by the partner 11TeamSports, through its supplier Nike. This makes the competition more accessible.

A large audience is expected to enjoy this sporting, family-friendly, and free event in one of the largest stadiums in the region. More than just a tournament, it is a moment of sharing around sport and civic values.
