During the Nice Carnival press conference, the return of fireworks in Nice before July 14th was mentioned by the Mayor of Nice and Prefect Leclerc.
A year and a half after the July 14th attack, Nice is reconnecting with its tradition of fireworks by once again offering the residents of Nice and tourists moments of unity and sharing around high-quality pyrotechnic displays.
The Port Festival has been chosen to host the event. Canceled last year for security reasons, the Port Festival promises numerous activities in a new format.
It will be organized live by the Town Hall, which makes it even more obvious that the true reason for last Sunday’s “Carnival dou Pouort” cancellation by the two neighborhood associations is that nothing can be done without the Town Hall’s supervision.
