The first day of celebration in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region for the revival of the French F1 Grand Prix at the Circuit Paul Ricard was filled with passion and… spectators.
More than 15,000 visitors indeed enjoyed the summer sun and the festive atmosphere that prevailed at the heart of the village set up between the pit straight and the Castellet International Airport.
During the press conference, President Christian Estrosi revealed the main sports and economic outlines of the F1 project, which will also give a prominent place to youth and innovation, training, and road safety, as well as on racing circuits.
In his press conference, President Christian Estrosi confirmed in substance “that the budget for the French F1 Grand Prix will indeed be around €30 million annually with €16 million in direct revenues (ticket sales and partnerships) and €14 million in public subsidies.”

“That this French F1 Grand Prix will be a great popular event, with ticket sales starting as early as next autumn.
“That a sports council will bring together experts and ambassadors of our French Formula 1 Grand Prix, including Patrick Tambay.
“That the F1 GP must serve as a real showcase of innovation.
“That in partnership with the FIA (International Automobile Federation), the first Center for Innovation, Mobility, and Road Safety will be built. A worldwide first.
“And that an automotive excellence hub will emerge and will also encompass the development of sustainable mobility solutions.
“That proposals will be made to ensure an eco-responsible Grand Prix.”
“That the direct economic impacts have been estimated at at least €65 million, and 500 direct and sustainable jobs.
