“« A first but not a last », affirmed Christian Estrosi during the inauguration and commissioning of this initiative aimed at reinforcing the anti-pollution policy launched after his re-election as mayor in June 2020.
It is an urban logistics center, located on Boulevard Gambetta, which will serve as a hub within the downtown perimeter:
This 780m² center will serve as a local storage point, sorting point, collection and drop-off area for bulky goods and small parcels, primarily destined for the 06000 area. An initial fleet of 8 cargo bikes and 2 electric utility vehicles will handle these last-mile deliveries.
The initiative is from a private entrepreneurial group, but the municipal “blessing” is a significant asset for its dissemination and development.”
