For years, fans of the brand from the Côte d’Azur have been asking for a Starbucks to open in Nice. It’s now a reality: the American coffee retail giant is opening its first café today in Cap3000. The brand doesn’t intend to stop there, as it is already working on projects in Monaco, Cannes, and Old Nice.

The Nice Starbucks café opened its doors this Thursday, June 28, within the CAP 3000 shopping center in the municipality of Saint Laurent du Var. Starbucks thus inaugurates its 74th café in France, the second in the PACA region after the Marseille café which opened in May 2010.

“We are delighted to inaugurate our first café near Nice. We are very excited to share the Starbucks Experience with the customers of CAP 3000,” says Philippe Cébral, Director of Development for Starbucks Coffee France. “The opening of this café in a new city is part of our development strategy in France, specifically in this region, and meets the strong demand from coffee enthusiasts in the Nice area with whom we are eager to share our offerings,” he adds.

With an area of 89 m2, the Cap 3000 Starbucks café will have 29 indoor seats and a 17 m2 terrace with 24 seats. This café will be open all year round, from Monday to Saturday, between 8:30 AM and 9:00 PM.

To serve the Nice customers, a team of fifteen employees has been recruited, all on permanent contracts. The recruitment was mainly conducted in the Nice region.

The brand doesn’t plan to stop there and is planning to open several new cafés soon in Monaco, Cannes, and Old Nice.
