On the agenda, an Andrรฉ Tรฉchinรฉ retrospective at the Cinรฉmathรจque de Nice throughout the month of April; a meeting with directors Olivier Ducastel and Jacques Martineau and the screening of several of their films at the Cinema Le Mercury; a tribute night to the Italian poet filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini, also at the Mercury; unreleased films including Bruce LaBruce’s latest, Otto or Up with Dead People, and Pascal-Alex Vincent’s first feature film, Give Me Your Hand; selected shorts under the patronage of the Hรฉliotrope association and a foray into more experimental forms of filmmaking with L’Eclat, at Villa Arson.

In addition to Ducastel and Martineau, directors Alessandro Avellis and Pascal Alex Vincent will participate in various debates, alongside Didier Roth-Bettoni, author of Homosexuality in Cinema, and Jean-Marc Lalanne, editor-in-chief of the magazine Les Inrockuptibles and former editor-in-chief of Cahiers du Cinรฉma.

Moreover, IN & OUT works closely with associations involved in AIDS prevention and the fight against homophobia: the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence โ€“ whose 30th anniversary will be celebrated with the exclusive screening of the documentaries Drag Nuns in Tinseltown by Ren BLOOD and The Vatican Rules by Alessandro Avellis โ€“ but also Sida Info Service, AGLAE, and SOS Homophobie.
