Nice, the Second French Destination for Tourism
With 4 million visitors per year, accounting for 1% of the global tourism sectorโs revenue, Nice is the top tourism and hotel hub in France (with nearly 200 hotels and 10,000 rooms), following Paris.
The city is appealing due to its easy access: its international airport offers direct flights to 90 destinations in over 40 countries. Close to both the sea and the mountains, its location and exceptional sunlightโ300 days on average per yearโmake it a favored destination for hosting major events.
Asserting Nice, the 5th largest city in France, as a major international metropolis.
To achieve this goal, we are also developing very ambitious projects, such as the redevelopment of the Palais Acropolis by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the creation of a prestigious hall showcasing Business Tourism on the Quai des Etats-Unis, and the development of the Eco-Valley, including the construction of a 60,000 mยฒ convention and exhibition center at the entrance to the Plaine du Var, close to the airport.
About “Rendez-vous en France” – For its 4th edition, following the success of 2 regional editions, the trade fair is organized in Paris in 2009.
