An announcement that leaves us somewhat perplexed: “In order to best meet the new expectations of the people of Nice, the City of Nice plans a shared use of Place Pierre Gautier between antique dealers, event activities, and pedestrians.”

Thus, every Monday between 7 AM and 6 PM, the antique dealers will now welcome their customers on Place Pierre Gautier, except on event days.
In truth, the square had been cleared of commercial activities a few months ago to enhance its aesthetics, as it is located in front of the Palais des Roi Sardes, which undoubtedly deserves better than becoming a commercial venue.
What was true yesterday is no longer today? Or could it be that the merchants are also voters?
As for aesthetics, maybe next time!
