To be in opposition, it is enough to criticize, but when one has the ambition to democratically take power, it is better to get organized and have some proposals that can “seduce” the voters.

For the National Front, it is like the fatigue of Sisyphus: feeding people’s discredit toward its political adversaries while simultaneously establishing itself as a party capable of managing affairs.

The National Front is a party undergoing transformation, where the old leadership of its founder Jean-Marie Le Pen is gradually being replaced by new “Marinist” members who identify more with a nationalist and conservative discourse.

To enrich the movement’s sociology, it is also necessary to broaden the horizon and interest, in addition to activists, other socio-professional categories.

In the economic world, the first target is business leaders, certainly not those of the CAC 40 but the “ants” of SMEs/micro-businesses sensitive to the propaganda of the battle of the little guy against the ogre of globalization.

In this context and from this perspective, here is the newborn presented in Nice: the Audace collective (aptly named), a think tank aiming to weave a local network to develop ideas and proposals that will feed into the development of Marine Le Pen’s electoral program for the presidential election.

According to its young president Pierre Grandjean, in a visit to Nice and Marseille, more than 300 members have joined the collective, which took off during the regional elections of December 2015.

The watchwords remain the same: assemble, address issues, and maintain proximity.

The agenda remains the same… but for the 2.0 Frontistes, it’s about maintaining a certain momentum after the regional elections, during which the world of small businesses broke the glass wall that traditionally separated the far-right from the republican right, thereby legitimizing Marion Le Pen in the PACA region in civil society.

Will the attempt succeed in consolidating this desire for penetration into an environment that is well-presided over in Nice and its region by the network of various lords and right-wing barons and their affiliates in consultative or employer institutions?

Time will tell. In any case, this collective will always serve as a tool for selecting the new ruling class of this party that Marine Le Pen and her lieutenants in the Azure territory are establishing.

We bet that some successful careers will emerge from this collective: after all, when we talk about “audacity” it’s not for nothing!
