On this occasion, Louis Mazza, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank, along with many volunteers, received a visit from the local authorities, an important supporter of the association.

Every last weekend of November, the Food Banks call on the general public for their national collection. During these two days, some 130,000 volunteers will collect food in more than 8,000 collection points (stores, schools, town halls, etc.).

This year in the Alpes-Maritimes, over 1,000 Food Bank volunteers will take turns in 93 stores in the department to appeal to the generosity of customers.

Last year, 1,636 tons of food were distributed, equivalent to 3,200,000 meals. More than 40,000 people were assisted in 45 municipalities in the department.
