And, thanks to social media, all 150 seats have already been reserved. It must be said that entry is free and the venue is prestigious…

Cristour Daurore, president of the association, explains the initiative: ”

We are organizing this traditional Nissart ball because we will be opening 3 new activities in our cultural center at the end of September at AnimaNice Pasteur: traditional and classical dance with Diana Vainer (a professional dance teacher and former ballerina of the Bolshoi in Moscow, who is currently training in the traditional dances of Nissa and Occitània), traditional choral singing with Katia Alferova (trained at the Moscow Conservatory of Music), and a traditional music workshop with hurdy-gurdy, guitar, and piano.”

These 2 teachers will host the first part of the event, which is called in Nissart: Còrs savi (wise bodies), along with 5 children.

The group that will be performing at the Balèti is well-known in the traditional dance scene:

Sylvie BOITARD Diatonic Accordion, Jean-François BOSCH Alto Hurdy-Gurdy
