The MANCA Festival partners with the Conservatoire de Nice to host the 18th edition of the National Days of Electroacoustic Music (JNME)โฆ nearly fifty students and professors from conservatories across France come together for six days of meetings, masterclasses, exhibitions, and of course, concerts! The Acousmonium (the orchestra of loudspeakers) of the Conservatoire will be set up for the occasion, allowing students or their professors to project their own compositions or those of famous names in concrete, mixed, acousmatic and other electroacoustic music…
Organized by the AECME (Association of Electroacoustic Music Composition Teachers) in association with the Conservatoire de Nice and SACEM.

Cinema-Concert evening centered around two films from the โsocial cinemaโ of the 1930s. A candid snapshot of the everyday life of Spanish peasants struck by extreme poverty in โLas Hurdesโ; a satirical and poetic look at the idle bourgeoisie and the flip side of the coin with the common folk of old Nice, in โAbout Niceโ. These two masterpieces will be accompanied by musicians from the Ensemble Court-Circuit, conducted by Jean Deroyer.

Another French creation, in the form of multimedia musical theater, will close this 40th edition. It is โThe Three Kingsโ by Fabian Panisello, whose source of inspiration is none other than the eponymous work of Michel Tournier. Elodie Tisserand accompanied by the PluralEnsemble evolves in a scenic performance where the video โ sometimes narrative, sometimes contemplative โ is an invitation to our intimate perception of time and space.
