The Forum Jacques Prévert Association is calling for support for its street arts festival “Roulez Carros!”.

Latest News

In September 2015, the Forum Jacques Prévert will present the 19th edition of the festival “Roulez Carros!”. With programming that is a testament to its time, the audience will once again be able to enjoy high-quality artistic offerings: dance, theater, clowning, music, and even circus!

In a festive and friendly atmosphere, the festival promises this year, once again, to offer the 3,000 spectators who come each year unforgettable moments.

Unfortunately, successive budget cuts truly endanger the festival, reducing the number of performances from 37 in 2013 to 16 in 2015!

In order to once again offer the public several days of entirely free performances in the streets of Carros (town and village) and in hopes of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the festival in 2016, the Association Forum Jacques Prévert is today appealing for support from as many people as possible via the crowdfunding site KissKissBankBank.

Last year already, the festival lost 12 shows from its programming compared to 2013. In 2014, 12 companies then offered 25 performances to the public spread over 3 days.

Without financial support, the next 2015 edition will host only 11 companies for a total of 16 performances. Year after year, the programming is reduced, truly endangering the future of the festival which risks disappearing completely if we do not manage to obtain budgetary aid.

This amount will then allow the festival to be preserved almost in its original format by scheduling at least four additional shows.
