Thanks to European funding, the General Council 06, the State, the Region, the ERDF, and the municipalities crossed (La Turbie, Beausoleil, Roquebrune Cap-Martin, Menton), the 9 sites are now accessible and offer a true journey back in time.
This exceptional itinerary allows for an understanding of the historical links that today unite the inhabitants of a territory divided by a border (French-Italian) — a border which, during the time of Emperor Augustus, was located at the mouth of the Var.
In response to the success of visits to the 9 sites over the past year, the French Riviera Agglomeration Community and the Municipality of Ventimiglia have just created the VIA Card!
This card is free, and it is distributed in the tourist offices of the traversed sites (La Turbie, Beausoleil, Roquebrune Cap Martin, Menton), on the 9 sites, at the French Riviera Agglomeration Community, 5 rue Saint Charles 06500 Menton, or can be downloaded from www.riviera-francaise.fr
