There are some returns that are talked about and others that go unnoticed; however, it was yesterday that the “Friends of LACASSAGNE” Association handed over a check for three thousand euros to Professor Joël GUIGAY, Director of the Antoine-Lacassagne Center. This amount was the result of a garage sale organized at the start of the summer season at Port, Esplanade Lympia, an event that was notably cut short due to a rare and violent storm.
Since the beginning of the year, the amounts paid, in line with our associative purpose, are intended to supplement a budget dedicated to purchasing equipment desired by the management of the Antoine LACASSAGNE Center.
Specifically, the objective for 2018 is to equip the institution with an interventional radiology table, an alternative to conventional surgery.
Indeed, as expressed by Michèle Boucorain, president of the association, “It is certainly not the mere eighteen thousand euros already handed over to date, even if we add the proceeds anticipated from the upcoming event – which will feature the female choir ‘les Choralines’ under the label ‘les Musi’CAL’ on November 25th at the Church of the Holy Trinity – that will achieve it, but it will be our modest contribution to this ambitious project. This latest check handover finds perfect alignment with our aspirations.”
