– The Moulins district at the heart of the Eco Valley
The Moulins district is undergoing a major urban renewal operation until 2016, with the aim of opening up the neighborhood, creating an East-West axis through it, requalifying public spaces, diversifying and improving housing, developing services and facilities, promoting employment, strengthening the actions of associations, and revitalizing businesses. Beyond the physical transformations of the area, the renewal project focuses primarily on a human dimension of solidarity, listening, and mutual aid.
– The “Les petits Loups” school transformed into a future Early Childhood and Parenting Hub
The nursery school “Les Petits Loups,” which currently has two classes, will close its doors at the end of this school year. The establishment will undergo major renovations and be transformed into an innovative hub dedicated to early childhood and parenting. This place will promote social cohesion, intergenerational bonds, integration, and family support.
Within this municipal structure, which will open in September 2013, parents and their children will find a collective multi-care facility (replacing the Yuccas daycare center, destined for demolition as part of the urban renewal), a toy library, an “early childhood” center, and many other services.
The project is funded by the city of Nice, the National Agency for Urban Renovation, the Alpes-Maritimes CAF, Europe, and the Regional Council.
The total cost of this operation amounts to more than 1.5 million euros.
