Nearly 300 students from the 2019 cohort of the Nice Côte d’Azur Apprentice Training Center (CFA), located in Carros, received their diplomas yesterday afternoon in the CUM amphitheater. The diplomas were handed out by Senator Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, accompanied by Charles Scibetta, Mayor of Carros and President of the CFA, Isabelle Brès, Mayor of Colomars and Vice-President of the CFA, and Guillaume Legall, the head of the CFA institution.

“Congratulations to the youth for their commitment and success. Congratulations to the teachers, companies, apprenticeship mentors, and families who believed in the royal path that is apprenticeship,” declared the national representative while congratulating the recipients.

The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis CFA* hosts and trains nearly 1,100 young apprentices and adults each year, covering 13 trades and approximately 22 certifications ranging from the CAP in bakery, hairdressing, pastry-making, cabinet making, dental prosthetics, prevention and mediation agent, through to the BP in aesthetics, bakery, hairdressing, butchery, up to the BTS in Aesthetic Professions or Dental Prosthetics.

Apprenticeship is one of the most effective solutions for combating youth unemployment: more than 85% of the apprentices from the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis CFA successfully transition to professional employment following their training (national average: around 60%).

The CFA has expanded its involvement in the European Erasmus program, is working on extending its training offerings, and has multiplied partnerships with companies and associative structures within the metropolitan area.
