The future of trade apprenticeships looks promising.

On September 9th, the first stone of the future Regional Apprenticeship Campus, which will be located in the Eco-Valley, will be laid. This professional sector, which has been somewhat neglected, is regaining its prestige with the success of France’s bid to host the WorldSkills Competition in 2023.

It’s already a victory for France, on the eve of the 45th WorldSkills Competition kick-off, which is taking place in Kazan (Russia) until August 27th.

This international competition, in which 1,600 young people, including about forty French participants, are engaged this year, highlights apprenticeships and manual and technical trades.

The organization of this event, which expects 4,000 accredited participants, aligns with the ambition to promote apprenticeships and professional training.

“It’s a great gift for France, for those who believe in its youth, and who have hope in its professional training. It is also a great responsibility, and we will continue to rally around us the economic, social, and political forces of our country,” said Michel Guisembert, president of WorldSkills France, who led the bid.
