Mr. Eric Ciotti, Member of Parliament, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, presented a check in favor of the disaster victims in the Philippines to the French Red Cross, represented by Mrs. Chantal Verhaeghe, Departmental President of the French Red Cross.
The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, a solidarity community, is committed to mobilizing in favor of the disaster victims in the Philippines, affected a few days ago by Typhoon Haiyan.
The Department has thus presented a check to the French Red Cross to support the humanitarian aid deployed by its teams for the millions of victims struck by this terrible disaster.
This aid is part of the tradition of generosity and solidarity that has always driven the Department of Alpes-Maritimes. In 2010, the General Council had notably presented a check to the French Red Cross to assist the victims in Haiti.
