November Floods in the Alpes-Maritimes

The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes voted, during the permanent commission meeting held this morning, for a total package of 2.5 million euros to assist affected individuals and municipalities in dealing with the aftermath of the adverse weather, in addition to, if necessary, insurance compensations.

The departmental community and its President, Eric Ciotti, are also continuing to mobilize their human and material resources to restore the roads and beaches that were damaged by the rains that hit our department.

This vote comes as a first decree recognizing a natural disaster will be published on Saturday, November 19 in the Official Journal, as promised by Claude Guรฉant, Minister of the Interior, Overseas, Local Authorities, and Immigration, during his visit to the Var last Monday.
