This Thursday, February 1, was marked by the inauguration of the nursery “Les Doux Rêveurs,” located at 31 bis Rue Trachel. Christian Estrosi, his deputies, Lionel Le Guen (president of the Mut’), and Murielle Chaudoin (president of the CAF des Alpes-Maritimes) visited the location.

The city of Nice, recognized as a “Child-Friendly City”, acknowledges the importance of preventive interventions from the earliest days of children’s lives. It has thus implemented various actions to support families from pregnancy, promoting joyful parenting. Workshops in four Child-Parent Centers and five child-parent reception centers are deployed. This approach covers the period from 0 to 6 years. Each month, early childhood experts lead thematic workshops and discussion sessions, allowing parents to receive tailored responses to their needs during these meetings.

“Les Doux Rêveurs”: An Innovative Nursery

The nursery “Les Doux Rêveurs” within the “Jardins de Trachel” is a social housing labeled “Passivhaus.” Opened in August 2023, it offers 50 cradles in nearly 600 m². An ideal space to welcome toddlers from 2 ½ months to 3 years old. With a team of 18 professionals, the nursery provides flexible care options: full day, half day, or occasional. The distinct areas for babies, middle-aged, and older children include a bottle-feeding area and a secure outdoor space.

Valued at over 2.8 million euros, this project has received significant financial support from public authorities. Managed by the French Mutuality PACA SSAM (La Mut’), this nursery innovates in the Nice landscape, creating an environment conducive to the well-being and harmonious development of young children.
