“Get up and do your thing” is a contest that aims to encourage and support young people to innovate, create their project, and see it through to implementation.

Open to two categories (business creation and artistic creation), participants present their project with a video posted on the website www.getupetfaistontruc.carrefour.fr,

From March 30 to April 10, internet users can vote on the platform for their favorite project.

The 2nd edition of the “Get up and do your thing” contest, sponsored by Jamel Debbouze, was launched on February 23. One project is supported by the Carrefour store in Antibes and 101 throughout France. The principle is simple: candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old, submit their artistic or professional project in the form of a video on a dedicated platform, linked to the hypermarket in their city. The top 20 will receive an award ranging from โ‚ฌ5,000 to โ‚ฌ20,000 and support from professionals.

Until April 10, internet users can vote on the platform for their favorite project. A first jury, formed by the store to which the project is attached, selects one project per category, taking into account the internet votes and the relevance of the projects related to the store.

From April 11 to 22, the selected projects undergo a final online selection to reach the final, which will take place in Paris on May 4.

On this exceptional day, the 20 candidates who have garnered the most support will present themselves before a jury, of which Jamel Debbouze is a member.
Review of the first edition

During the first edition of the contest in 2015, 200 candidate videos were submitted and generated 108,000 online votes. โ‚ฌ160,000 were distributed to the 20 finalists.

With “Get up and do your thing,” in the form of a call for projects, Jamel Debbouze and Carrefour aim to support young entrepreneurs by encouraging them to believe in their projects and ideas and by providing them with the help and visibility they need to launch and succeed.
