The OGC Nice women’s football team defeated Chรขtenoy-le-Royal 1-0 in the second leg of the playoff to advance to the second division this Sunday afternoon. They had also won the first leg 1-0.
Despite the distance, a solid 600 kilometers separate Chรขtenoy-le-Royal and Nice as the crow flies, the Gym girls did not concede a goal this Sunday either.
A strong defense by the red and blacks allowed them to win this playoff for promotion to the women’s second division of football.
The Chรขtenoy-le-Royal team had finished first in the regional 1 league of Bourgogne Franche-Comtรฉ.
The French women’s second division championship is divided into two groups distributed by geographic zones.
