“Nice is a very important and interesting city with its innovations, industries, and technologies, and I am very happy to be here,” declared Hanlon, the global president of the Junior Chamber International, yesterday. Elected for a one-year term as global president, the Irishman came to the region for the first time for the National Congress from November 27 to 30, 2008, but also to encourage the young people of Nice in their local actions. Graham Hanlon emphasized: “Our philosophy is to give young people the chance to make a difference.”

A sports marketing forum will be held in Cannes

During this General Assembly, the five Local Junior Economic Chambers of the region presented their past and future actions. In Menton and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, a pneumatic boat circulated all summer to collect household waste from boaters: 60m3 of waste was collected and 3,000 garbage bags distributed. In Cannes, a sports marketing forum will take place at the end of 2008/beginning of 2009. In Nice Côte d’Azur, Marseille, and Cannes, the Local Junior Economic Chambers have existed for over 50 years.
